Summer Bonfire and S’mores Night

Invite a friend and know that children are very welcome! We have a big yard and plenty of s’mores!

Also known as “Summer Christmas,” The Nativity of John the Baptist is one of the oldest festivals of the Christian church, celebrated as early as 506 AD. Our faith’s most famous cousin was born 6 months before Jesus (Luke 1:36), so it’s custom to make a fire and eat honey-like sweets (not locusts!), remembering John’s witness to Christ and to prepare our hearts for the Gospel.
