Post-Easter - What Have We Learned?
Who is God calling us to be?
We are quickly entering the season of Epiphany and Lent. In the context of the Church year, Epiphany refers to the appearance of Jesus Christ as the savior of the world, a time to consider what Jesus’ revelation means for church and the world. Lent follows with a time to prepare for Christ’s death and resurrection through self-giving in service and prayer - 40 days to examine our own souls and participate in what Christ has done for the sake of all people, everywhere.
During this next season of life together, we’ll gather mid-week in our homes to study Scripture’s call for God’s church, and to discern where the Holy Spirit is guiding us to use our gifts for the needs of the community. In our rotation of learning and prayer, my hope is that a strong sense of our shared values and concrete ways we’d like to be the church for the sake of the Mebane area emerges and sends us out in love and service.
Would you dedicate one night a week to learn and pray with us?
